Voice of the Spirit

Today the band played for a breakfast being held by a charismatic group called Magnificat. It's a women's group that prays and supports each other (as well as more that I don't have all the details). They get together every couple of months for a breakfast and this time requested we provide the praise music.

It was one of those experiences that was bigger than the band. When we played, people were really getting into the music, being moved by the Spirit. Once person even got up on a chair during one number! But from the band's perspective, we played better than we had in a long time. Our singer introduced all our songs and spoke a little before hand and she was truly inspired and inspirational! I know, just from my perspective, I could really feel the Spirit moving within me. I could hear my voice as I was singing and wondered who the heck it was as I can't remember ever doing these songs so well and in he way I performed them. It was one of those magical experiences that stays with you for quite a while. And it's for times like this that I do the ministry I do. I really did feel like we were the voice of the Spirit today. I hope we can continue to move people in this way.

That's so awesome that the Lord inspired it so. I'm so glad you had that experience. It's wonderful when you get validation in that way that you're doing what you're supposed to be doing.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! :)

Jamie: I really do feel that I'm where I'm supposed to be right now, in more ways than one. And you're welcome!

Jude: It was quite inspiring. I wish all of our gigs could go like that!
